Dick’s Chicks Spotlight 

Many of you know Virginia, our 83 year old sales associate.  She has been a part of Dick’s Shoes for twenty nine years and we would not be the same store without her.  

Please stop in to visit her and bring your favorite joke as she can tell you a few that will make your sides hurt from laughing.  

I hope I can still work as hard and as many hours as she does when I am her age.

Don’t Get Confused

Don’t get confused by our name.  I receive many phone calls asking for athletic shoes and many are surprised that we do not carry any.  We could fill another whole store if we added athletic to our stock and we decided many years ago to focus on comfortable, stylish and affordable sandals.  

Many of these callers confuse us with Dick’s Sporting Goods and maybe that is a blessing as I then have the opportunity to invite them to see our collection and visit beautiful Historic Downtown Venice.  

Don’t you just love our little town and the peace and quiet of small town living?  Come spend a day or an evening and stroll the avenue.  Thursday and Friday nights we are open until 8PM and often have “refreshments” and “special offers” for our many friends who visit “after hours”.  

Just because no one else is open doesn’t mean you can’t have fun and try on shoes all night.

Junk Mail

I know how much you love junk mail so I am going to add some from me.  Sometime in July we will send out a postcard announcing our annual “Private Sale”.  If you are not on our mailing list and want to be in the know please stop in and we will make sure we have your current address etc.  

If for some odd reason you do not wish to be on the mailing list we can check the “no mail” box and save ourselves the postage.  Remember, we have the best selection, the best service and the best customers.
